Blue Nails & Yellow Staarssss

I wanted to upload the pictures before I said anything because I dont really have much to say about this manicure. I don't really like the colour combination..but it doesn't look so bad so I'll keep it on for a bit. Again, I used my stars and just placed them over 3 coats of blue nail polish. Nothing speciall. I can't seem to paint my nails without designing them :/ so this will have to do for a few days.
Thanks for reaadiing! :)

Pink Nails&Glitter Tips +++ Pink&Brown Eyess

Heyaa

So these eyes are really simple, and you can do these when you want some really neutral makeup-- to workk or during the day. Its really simple, I did not line the bottom of my eyes and I used a khol pencil to line the top of my eyes instead of a liquid liner. I used my matte shadow to highlight my brow bone again, and I am really liking this.  It just makes everything pop! :) I blended a shimmery baby pink and a matte brown which gives it the really natural look. :) :)

For the nails, I did a really quick diagonal design with glitter and a dark pink. You don't need any elaborate tools for this, a toothpick will be fine. Don't forget your top coat to seal it all in :) :)

Bronze//Green Eyess

Hi Hi... new look.. a blend of bronze and 2 different greens (one of which you can't see really well). Bronze on the inner corners and then a light green in the center and then a darker one on the outer corners. I also lined half of my bottom lid with a green pencil which you can't really see. I used a matte highlight for my brow bone. I am really starting to like how the matte highlight looks, I might be sticking with it for a bit. Also, the highlight makes a huge difference, you should try it if you don't.. but not too much and you need to blend it downwards so it blends in properly with your crease. I might do a full face routine next.. just to spice things up.. or a post on blush (which I'm actually still learning about) so look out for that.

Please feel free to leave comments about looks you want to see or suggestions to improve the blog, or improve the makeup or whateverrrrr, you can make it anonymous if you dont want me to know who it is :) :)... I might be doing a Nicki Minaj inspired look soon so look out for that as well! Thanks for readingg!

Pink Nails & Yellow Starsss

Hi hiii, so I did a really simple design but it looks really pretty. I used my forever 21 pink nail polish as my base and then i put little yellow stars ontop of it in a diagonal-ish design.. Its really easy and simple to do. i put a bit of glitter polish (which you cant really see) on the nails so the stars had something to stick to and then i put about 3 top coats on. :) I did them yesterday and I've only lost one star :) :)

3 Tone Pink Eyesssss

Hiiiii (okay I just uploaded a post a few hours ago but whatever :) ) I have a pink loook becuase I wanted to do a colour that I know people will have lying around so you can try it out. :) I used 3 shades of pink-- a rosy pink (plus a bit of silver) on the inner corners, aaaa darker pink ( I don't have an actual name :/) for the center and then a fuschia ( plus a bit of black) on the outer corners. It looks really pretty.. I don't usually like pink eyeshadow but this doesn't look too bad. Please try it out if you can :) and it doesnt take too long...

These are the 3 colours i used. They are in a huge pallete so i had to do swatches :) the first one is what i used for the inner corners, the second for the middle and then the last one plus some black and a bit of gold for the outer corners. They kinda look the same :/ buutt  they show up different on skin.

I blended everything in with a really sheer gold colour which I also used to highlight my brow bone. Liquid liner as usual and some silver liner for my lower lid and a dark blue (which looks black) liner for my water line. :) I have a million and one pictures so you can see everythng betterr :) eennjooyyy

Thanks for readdiinngg :) :)

Neutral Brown//Black Smokey Eye

Hi Hi I already did a gold&black neutral look but i just wanted to add some more pictures because i did another look but I tried to make it a dark brown and black smokey eye. This look is more dramatic than the gold&black but it looks almost the same. The only difference is that I stretched the black into the crease which gives it a more dramatic look.

Eyebrows ( Guest pooosstt )

Guest Post: The crazy things I raise my eyebrows at
Hi  so this is not your usual Sharms. It is just a friend popping in to chip in her 2 cents in the form of a guest post. I’ve chosen to talk about eyebrows (in relation to makeup and beauty just like the rest of the blog) because it is a subject that is very dear to my heart.

If you’ve seen enough eyebrow catastrophes (as well as eyebrows that are almost perfectly shaped), you’ll probably agree that they can make or break a face. It’s kind of a weirdly dicey issue… you want to make them look perfect but realistic, precise but not drawn on and achieve an arch without getting that permanently surprised look.
Personally, I get my eyebrows threaded and have been doing so consistently for a bit over a year. It’s higher on the pain scale than waxing (I hear lol..I wouldn’t know because I’ve never had them waxed) but I feel like I prefer it to tweezing. In my opinion tweezing just makes you suffer longer unnecessarily) Threading is a South Asian method which is really precise because the hairs are removed right from the roots, with a single antibacterial thread. It can hurt, but the hair grows back slower, and the 4-6 weeks you enjoy without sitting in that chair are quite priceless… so consider it J (I got mine done last on May20, I’ve tidied them up on my own just once since then.. so I’m pushing a month!)

Whichever way you choose to get your eyebrows done, please go to a reputable place. Checking out the eyebrows of the threader/waxer is also a good move. If she looks like this then you might probablyyyy need to let that one go. For my sake…
Anywayy I have compiled a list of some the eyebrows-faux pas I have unfortunately witnessed… and so has Sharms!

The REDBROW
This one is one of the most confusing for me… it just throws me off. There is this auburn/winishh soft pencil that women sometimes use on their eyebrows… though they usually clearly have black hair and brown skin like mine.. (confused face).. I don’t really get it and I feel like it’s almost a little mean cos all it’s done is scare me. My face>> 0_o

Here’s me sporting the REDBROW =D

The JETBLACK brow
A brow pencil should never really be absolutely black, no matter how dark haired you are. It should be a shade of brown and only used to shade in spots where you actually need it. I use this eyebrow tool from MAC and it’s my savior. I got it in STUD I think which is a dark brown. You can find a bunch of really good products for grooming brows which might even be a lot cheaper…
This is me with the Jetblack brow… lol

The Eyebrows which kiss your baby hair
Okayy, so sometimes we might need to extend our brows a bit, for a variety of reasons. Maybe the hair there is kinda sparse and we need to fill it in or we need to make one or the other longer so that they look more or less identical. Then in walks the woman who has taken this a bit too literally or taken it a bit tooooo far and the tips of her eyebrows are making out with her hairline….lol
:-*

Special mentions
The *too high* arch
Alright, it’s been said: arching your brow can give you a cheap facelift. Not all arching is good arching though… so keep it moderate unless you want to look like you’re saying ‘Huh’ all the time… don’t get mad when people start repeating what they said, even though you didn’t ask.. lol

The tightrope brow
I know there are some who prefer a thinner brow, but going too thin is kind of…never good. I personally like to keep them thick, like above average thick, but there’s no rule which says you have to do this… the pencil thin look can be pretty harsh so watch it and let your threader/waxer/self know when enough hair has been taken off..
Shaving off the brows and drawing in your own
So, I am yet to see someone who has done this and pulled it off well. I know that for most models, the outer half of their brows is shaved off so the makeup artists can have more variety in styling. If you want to do that… it could turn out okay, but shaving the entire thing off is never a good idea. Especially when they start growing back.. we can see your err..stubble..
Eyebrow tattoos and weaves
Yes... there is weave for eyebrows now. Not sure how they do it, but you can watch this video for more info LOL… I think it’s borderline ridiculous and can’t imagine how it could possibly look realistic/beautiful but hey… J
Tattooing on an eyebrow has been a known method for a while and I know that some people have been successful at it… but I still don’t think ink will ever look like hair...but I mean again, to each his own J Just remember: it’s permanent!

Okay so it’s comical and all, the main reason I put up photos of myself looking like a fool, is to show how ridiculous it can look when women do these things... lol. I haven’t been able to take anybody seriously while they were walking around like that… I’m sure you can’t blame me :]
Eyebrows are such a small part of the face and yet they carry so much weight. The whole idea behind arching is to expose your brow bone so your brows frame your face in an attractive way…
I hope this has been helpful! I’m addicted to Things I Love; I check it every day so I’m happy I got to Guest Post
Thanks for reading!

Eyebrowwsss

Okay so I have a post to upload.. its about eyebrowss andd its a guest post!! wooo for my first guest post. But anyway, i've always wanted to talk abit about eyebrows and this post is perfectt. I just want to quickly talk about how I do my eyebrows before I upload the post. I use a dark brown pencil (I dont know which brand :/ I've been using this pencil for years) and I just make light strokes on my eyebrows and then brush them with my eyebrow brush and I'm good to go. I dont like over-doing them because it just looks unreal. I usually thread them (which i think is the best method-- no bumps and you get a perfect finish) and then I tweeze them when the little hairs start growing back. Quick tip-- its best to tweeze after your shower or after you wash your face... It doesn't hurt at all. Eyebrows are important guys.. please don't neglect them. :) :)

These are the only things i use for my eyebrows... It's really not difficult to groom them :) :) Enjoy the guest postt

Blue//Gold//Turquoise Eyesssss

Okay so quick posttt..... I really really liked this look! and I actually wore it out so don't be afraid to try it out :) :)
Anywayyyyy I used 3 colours--gold for the inner corners (any type of gold should work), dark blue for the outer corners, and turquoise for the crease... I was wearing a really simple outfit so I wanted to spice it up with some flashy makeup. Don't forget your eyeliner (top and bottom) and your mascara, they make a huuuggeee difference! Yah please use a blending brush to blend everything nicely or you will end up looking like a peacock. Thanks for reeadiingg!! :)
